What are the nationalities of the teachers?
We strongly believe that qualified and committed teachers are very crucial for international schools. Our teachers are recruited from Australia, the United States, The United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, and the Philippines.
Does the School provide transportation?
A School bus is available to transport your child to and from School. The cost of this service is determined by the distance that you live from the School. This is an optional service.
Is there an insurance service for my child?
EWIS can provide student personal insurance for your child through FORTE insurance. This is optional and will cost $6 a year for each child. If you are interested an application packet is available with details of what is covered and the sum insured.
Does EWIS provide medical care?

EWIS staff will provide first aid for your child in the event of a small injury or sudden illness. The administrative staff will contact you if further medical assistance is required or if your child is too sick to stay at School. In the event of a medical emergency the School will make every effort to contact the parents.

If the parents cannot be contacted, the School will seek medical assistance or take the child to get medical assistance. EWIS cannot provide any other medical assistance. Any medical costs are your responsibility and not the responsibility of the School.

Does EWIS have an ESL program?
EWIS is offering ESL classes to students who only want to learn English and do not want to attend General Education classes. Two sessions are offered each day in a course taught by native English speakers.
Is EWIS accredited with an external body?
EWIS will begin the process of seeking accreditation with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in the 2008 / 2009 school year.
What is the size and make up of each classroom?
Our class sizes are capped so that we can achieve our aims. Pre-School classes will have no more than 18 students in each intake. Kindergarten will have no more than 20 students and grades 1 and 2 no more than 22.
Will EWIS offer a middle school and high school program?
EWIS will add one grade each year till we have a fully functioning school from Pre-School to Year 12. Currently we offer classes to grade 5. In the 2008 / 2009 we will add Grade 6.
Does EWIS prepare its students for the Cambodian National Exams?

Yes, Khmer Language Arts are taught every day and Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science are taught bilingually. We are registered with the Ministry of Education and approved to sit the Khmer exams.
