Thank you for your interest in EWIS. Our School is an exciting new opportunity for children to enjoy learning and to want to continue to learn.

In the next school year, 2007- 2008, We will have General Education classes for 3 year olds to 8 years olds; from Pre-school to Grade 3. Our E.S.L Classes will enroll students from 3 years of age to 13 years of age.

In E.S.L., Pre-school 1 and 2, and Kindergarten are instruction is in English. From grade 1 and up our instruction in English. These children also have khmer classes. As the childrens'proficiency in English increases we will introduce a bilingual model of teaching.

We strive for excellence in all we do. We know that children learn best when they feel comfortable and safe. We know that each child is unique and that learning is a developmental process. We will encourage children to be all that they can be while recognizing that children learn in different ways at different times.

The classrooms are friendly and child centered. Students will learn through interacting with the teacher, with one another, and through well designed programs which allow students to explore, touch, and see.

Our School is working towards gaining accreditation with The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). WASC is one of the major international accrediting bodies which gives endorsement to Schools that are considered quality Schools by external standards.
